    Default Cleaning leaves.

OK! Report me to The Orchid Protection Society! Not working this week and finally got round to cleaning the leaves of my babies ( tepid water and cotton pads) and they were FILTHY! I'm Mortified! How often do you all clean your plant leaves please? Do you use anything special to do it with? When can I expect the Orchid Police? Judi

Uh huh, don't tell anybody, I don't bathe mine....unless I have a wet paper towel in my hands on a trip to look at them. So, when you bathe them, do they like it with bubbles or without? lol

Just give it up....they are coming to get you for sure! You go no towels? Mine like the twisted towel in the little spaces. They are babied.

I too am slow cleaning my orchids and others but I use milk and a paper towel. It's amazing how clean milk will get them and will leave them with a nice shine.

Milk for sure, every month. I know, I'm obsessive. But don't all babies like milk?

Milk? No kidding, eh? I may try it to get some icky stains off a couple den's. I would love for them to look pretty too. Will it attract bugs?

If you are worried about cholesterol then use skim other wise it doesn't seem to make any difference. I've been told yogurt works also but it seems awfully messy to me.

I use skim milk. Don't want them to get obese, then they'd have to go on a diet exercise and all that good stuff. I've never had a problem with bugs. Just dip a cloth in milk wring it out and gently wipe the leaves. The milk will dry quickly and leave a beautiful shine.
