    Default Chocolate Truffle Cheesecake

1 ½ cups vanilla wafer crumbs
    ½ cup powdered sugar
    1/3 cup cocoa
1/3 cup melted butter or margarine

    12 oz. semisweet chocolate chips
    24 oz. Cream cheese
14 oz. Can sweetened condensed milk
    4 eggs
    2 tsp. Vanilla

    Preheat oven to 300 degrees.

Crust: In medium bowl combine crumbs, powdered sugar, cocoa and butter. Press firmly into bottom on 9-inch spring form pan.

Filling: Melt chocolate chips (in microwave zap on high for 30 seconds and stir, repeat until melted) and set aside to cool. In large mixer bowl, beat cream cheese until fluffy. Gradually beat in milk until smooth. Add remaining ingredients and mix well.

Pour into prepared pan and bake 1 hour 5 minutes, then turn oven off, crack door open and allow cake to cool for 1 hour in oven. Refrigerate for 8 hours before serving.

    Enjoy!

    David

OK David I'm in the middle of making this and don't know if I'm supposed to mix the chocolate with the cheese or spread it on top. HELP!

The recipe says to add the remaining ingredients and mix well so I believe that would include the melted chocolate. Enjoy and let us know how it turned out.

Well gang, if you like cheese cake and you like chocolate, you're gonna love this. Just finished eating a piece and it's to die for. Probably has 1,000 cal per slice, but who's counting! Thanks David for the recipe and thanks Joan for the advice. I did what you said and added it to the cream cheese. Yum yum! There goes my diet
