    Default Dendrobium NOID (Katie) - buds opening

    I cant quite get the colors right on this picture. But the flowers are really deep violet and the color is uniform across the entire flower.
    The flowers are also relatively small compared to typical cane dendriobiums - probably only 1 inch across.

    It was also hard to get a proper focus for the camera since the spike was swaying with the air movement from the fans.

    Hi John.....she always had small bright flowers but they lasted a long time.

    John, Katie ... whomever mounted them .... love the wood in the pics! Lots of character!

    Was the den from a BBS, Katie? Looks like one I had years back.

    Took me a minute to figure out what BBS was. No, from my supermarket. Ironically now that I am no longer collecting they have expanded the floral department and now have a rather large selection of orchids to choose from.
    Wouldn't you just know it?

    The wood mounts are all John's.

    The driftwoods were purchased from a pet store and are meant for aquarium/terrarium use.
