I cant quite get the colors right on this picture. But the flowers are really deep violet and the color is uniform across the entire flower.
The flowers are also relatively small compared to typical cane dendriobiums - probably only 1 inch across.

It was also hard to get a proper focus for the camera since the spike was swaying with the air movement from the fans.

Took me a minute to figure out what BBS was. No, from my supermarket. Ironically now that I am no longer collecting they have expanded the floral department and now have a rather large selection of orchids to choose from.Was the den from a BBS, Katie? Looks like one I had years back.[/color]
