    Hi Diane!
    According to the vendor:

Bc. Little Mermaid 'Janet' BM/JOGA (C. walkeriana x Bc. Maikai); the pollen parent, Bc. Maikai is (B nodosa x C. bowringiana).

it could have something to do with Tori looking a bit 'scary', what is the go with that pic anyways? (sorry for the mini-hi-jack)

Jenn, lovely photograph... love the delicate-ness of the flower.

Firstly, gorgeous--I wish I could get a division! I'm losing the battle to avoid cattleya alliance plants. LOL

Secondly, Clint & I have the "Name Nazi" thing in common. It drives me nuts when a tag gives a plant a name that seemingly doesn't exist, and there are lots of vendors who have misnamed plants. I just acquired a nearly dead Dend. It was called Emma White. No such plant according to my software. (The closest it had was Anna White.) Yet, quite a few people seem to have it or heard of it. Fortunately, I was able to Google it and I found the answer--it's Dendrobium Emma 'White'. (My software, as well as the RHS site, doesn't include clonal names. It does list Dend. Emma) I also Found Dend. Emma 'Pink'. Somewhere along the line, the clonal name obviously got incorporated into the grex name as a transcription error. Anyhow, I'm getting on the hijacked thread. Let me get back on track and say, once more, I love this flower!

    Cheers,

    Rob
