Can you take a foto of the plant and the media it's growing in and post the foto here. This will help us determine what to feed it and how often. The amount of water it needs is also determined by the growing media, plus the container and the size of the plant. It seems that you have put it in the right spot as long as it doesn't get direct sunlight. The fact that it's putting on new growth (ie. new roots and flower stalks) is a good sign that the plant is happy where it is. Did you mean you cut the new flower spike above a node? Generally you do not cut the flower spikes until after they finish blooming and the flowers on the spike have died. Hope to see a foto of you moth soon.
