Pink Vanda

This vanda is in bloom currently in the greenhouse. I had trouble taking the photograph because it is about 12 feet in the air! Those are the rafters in the greenhouse. This photo is a zoom with me standing on top of the center bench. I wish it was clearer. The other issue is that the tag is way up there too. I photographed it, but am having trouble reading my handwriting in the photo...lol! Anyway, I believe this is the name, but the first word after Vanda was a bit blury. When things warm up and we can move things back outside, I will climb up and see what the tag *really* says. Anyway, enjoy. (BTW - I feel the color is more accurate in the second photo. It was very cloudy today and hard to get clear photos with good color balance.)

Hi folks, thanks for the compliments! The greenhouse is made out of treated lumber and double walled lexan. Here is a photo of the inside. LJA and I designed it in 1997 and we built it ourselves.

Love the Vanda blooms. They are now my favorite type of orchid. I have a large one I bought 2 months ago at an orchid nursery in Ottsville, Pa. It is now just blooming. I'll send a photo soon.
