This may be a dumb question as I only have one AV, but 'Can you divide it?' Then you could keep the color on a smaller plant. It is really pretty and healthy!

come spring. It's about a foot across now and is simply taking up way too much space in the terr. Pity -- I really like the flower color.

You could do a stem &leaf cutting and start all over again
I think it needs some time in Florida !!!!!

Wow ! it is beautiful, wish I had more room .. It looks like it has 2 crowns if so can be divided easy. Gin
LOL. Hardly a "dumb Q", BD. If it turns out to have multiple crowns I could try dividing it or as other have mentioned do a leaf cuttings. But this devil quickly outstripped its alotted growing space. A division would likely mean in a year or 2 having to do it again before it "snuffs out" its competition.
Leaf cuttings usually result in WAY too many offsets -- & I can never seem to bring myself to just kill off healthy lil babies. I'm presently going to be in just that kind of bad straights with some miniAV leaves someone sent me.
So seems a better course of action would be to simply try to find it a new home in the spring, perhaps by way of trade for something "mini" or token cash settlement
That is a beautiful plant you have -- you must really be growing lots and very well if that is something you have to part with.
