Default Den. Thongchai Gold_ A long journey

After three years, this orchid finally bloomed and it's fantastic. Only three buds, but it was a long journey. I bought this on a discount rack at a box store and after nurserying and care it had two nice sized growths until a squirrel decided to eat them! This past summer is started growth again (a little slower) but finally got some beautiful blooms. Love the color contrast.

Beautiful! Mine has an incredibly large and healthy new cane (twice the size of it's predecessor). I can't wait until it blooms again, it's one of my favorites

    Cool

Actually, it's blooming on a pretty small growth, about 8 inches, I was really surprised that it did spike. Squirrels to hell!

Don't question it, just love it! :P Orchid's are the most adapted and complex plants in the world, one day they're going to evolve enough to beat the hell out of unsuspecting squirrels.
