Default Gilda's lily baby update...

Gilda, the water lily you sent to us has really fell in love with our fountain. This is the 2nd flower. The third photo is of a friend who likes to hang out with the lilys. There are about 15 or so of various sizes in the fountain. I guess the eggs must have been sucked up and dumped in the fountain and then they started to grow in there. Anyway, thought everyone might like a little lily update.

Cheers!

We could learn a lot from crayons: some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, some have weird names, and all are different colors....but they all exist very nicely in the same box. ...Hmmm? .

He is a little striped trout. (A wee baby compared to the monsters that live in the regular pond... )

Cheers!

It is a white water lily, Gilda. It has a bit of yellow in the center, but the flower is really pristine-white. What color was it supposed to be. did not tell me.

Cheers!

About the water lily, when it first opened, it was kinda more yellow, I thought. It opened around 10 in the morning, and I swear to God, not 4 hours later, it closed up again. Did the same thing the next day. Now when it opens, it opens all white as a sheet, but still only stays open for a few hours. That's all normal, right? We're not scaring it or something, are we?

The lotus opened its first upright leaf yesterday, out of the water! Should bloom soon, from what you said, Gilda!

They can open partially...before opening entirely(usually the next day) and they do close back up at night....
I am getting a red x on the pictures ???now, so I can't view them. I have tried refreshing the page and even logging out and back in ????....are the petals pointy ,like a cactus flower ?
