Default Pot. San Damiano "Watermelon Gold"

Thought I was going to lose these buds when I had to move the plants into my temporary hot house on the back porch, but they bloomed anyway. The blooms are about three weeks old now. Very strong, sweet scent.

Beautiful contrasting colors. Very 'warm' blooms on a cold day.

I actually hate to say this because overall it has a very nice color, but it looks like it is displaying signs of viral colorbreak. You might want to get the plant tested to be safe and to isolate it in the meantime. Hopefully I'm wrong.

Thank you. I will isolate it and look into testing. The flowers were quite a bit darker when they first bloomed a few weeks ago. The buds took some damage from low temps about mid way through their formation and they were transferred into artificial lighting. They had a couple of brown streaks and wilted a little right before they bloomed. I figured I was kinda lucky I didn't loose them altogether. The shape of the flowers isn't everything they are supposed to be either, but I am enjoying them anyway.

OMG, such beautiful Catts posted on the forum, and colour break !! I hate this virus. In your cases the various stress factors might actually be th reasons for the miss-colouring, get it ested though. Also look at th posts in the basket of cattleyas topic.
