Smile How to rescue protocorms

I hate winter; I am waiting for spring. So take some pictures for fun and for sharing information. One of my protocorm jar suddenly got contamination. I have to rescure by growing them in mos (the first picture). I also test to see young plantlets can survive or not if we deflask them too early. For over 3 weeks protocorms and young plantlets seem happy and have new leaves (picture 2 & 3). So if you buy young plantlet and you have to deflask early (because contamination and so on) you can grow them in moss. Cheers.

It's peat moss. First I try peat moss alone (second picuture) and it's sticky. Then I add charcoal for more air moving and sweet medium (third picture) -> too wet. Add more perlite (first picture) and I like it: protocorm seems like it. Try different medium to see which one is better. As Gin said, shredded Spag should be much better. I will try next time.

Good ideas for seedlings coming out of flask. The long fiber sphag doesn't work so well.
