I've never had much of a problem getting them to bloom. Keep them in medium/bright light, humid and do not let them dry out.

Hi Ben, are your bulbos old enough (large enough) to bloom? Some of the ones we grow take a few years before they are blooming size. I have a bublo phalaenopsis that still has not bloomed and it is about three and a half feet long. Good luck with yours.

    Cheers,
    BD

all my bulbo is mounted, just transfer two plant into pot to test which type are better for my to plant this. ( water ) i normally water two time in a day because weather in here are hot like summer alway. ( fertilizer ) i heard about many comment about this, some of them tell me using the organise fertilizer, some of them tell me using the 30-30-30 is better than organise, so i choose use the 30-30-30 is every weekends.

    is that ok ??

now a day i also in learning to kept some cattelya family (comment about this species )

    hi ben,
i think you can try to water only 1 time a day or even less, sometimes the need to dry out a little to make them bloom, my experience.
where do you live and whats your climate?

    cheers

    Hi Ben,
I would underline what others have said. The bulbos need to be mature before you expect blooms. Even mature plants could skip a year or more. Medium light. They are found in the shade of other plants. They can tolerate some variation in moisture but prefer to be evenly lightly moist, but not constantly soaking wet. They'll rot. Mounted is good but of course mounted requires more attention to monitor conditions. As for water, results here are good with tap water. MSU formula works great... 3 weeks fertilized, 1 week flush with clear water. Consider an epsom salt rinse 3 times per year (1 teaspoon per gal water).
    Beautiful blooms!
    Lee

(MSU refers to a fertilizer formula researched by Michigan State University)
