Default Your pick for best fragrant orchid

Just wanted to see some of your comments on stunning fragrant specimens... After smelling the s. japonica I'm so captivated by its scent. I love this one.

Nothing beats a good cattleya. Where tostart ? More like where to stop. So rich , but clean, not OTT.

    Among my favourites are:

Encyclia atropurpurea: heavenly sweet smell during the day, like a floral perfume, similar to that of many cattleyas.

Gongora claviodora: as the name indicates this one smells very strongly of cloves, just finished blooming and definitely one of my favourites.

Neofinetia falcata: sweet smell in the evening.

Brassavola nodosa: spicy, peppery smell, also in the evening.

    Dendrobium anosmum: raspberries

Holy cow is that yours? That is stunning! I like the looks of vandas but I don't have the proper warm environment to get into them

i must have one of those mimi's one day... i am indefinably trying to focus on nicely scented orchids, so i'm glad you started this thread. i have some neofinetia intergeneric hybrids, and the ascofinetia is spiking, so that might make this list soon, and a few scented oncidiums that have yet to bloom, so far not so many scented ones that have bloomed for me, but i love my oncidium twinkles. i have a red and a yellow and they are delicious, and very small plants. the strongest scented orchid i have now is the dendrobium kingianum. such a powerful scent that it can fill the whole apartment, from the balcony! sort of jasmine like. and i love my encyclia cordigera (about to open first rebloom any day now) and of course, my oncidium sharry baby, which i just discovered a new spike this morning. they call it 'the chocolate orchid' but it smells more of vanilla to me.
