    Default Orchid trip

I was jealous of folks like Canh and Zain being able to go to the forest to see orchids in-situ. I tried doing the same. Though, to be honest I have only gone to the Western Ghats region in South India along with Deepak (raindeepak4u) to see them in-situ around the roads and coffee plantations. Did not really get deep into the forest this time. Maybe another time. Saw some 15+ species of Aerides, Dendrobium, Vanda, Pholidota, Bulbophyllum, Coelogyne, Rynchostylis retusa, Oberonia and few unknown species.. Still dry season. Rains should start sometime soon now.

That is awesome !! Loved the pics ! The western ghats are the last strong hold of the orchids in the south-west. What the vandaeceous flowering and with the pod??
