Default Safer's End All II users

Do any of you use Safer's End All II to soak the plants when you get them to remove all of the nasties? We don't have physan here in Canada so I'm looking for something else to soak the new plants in. What's the concentration you use based on the 50mL per 1L if you're soaking not spraying?

Send Gin a PM and see if she knows. I don't use safers, but I believe she has.

I read from somewhere to mix cinnamon extract, soap and water to spray and soak the plant and to get rid of nasties.

We have had so much rain lately, and several catts (growing outside) have rot spots on them, so I just made the mix and sprayed them. Since I couldn't find extract, I soaked cinnamon power in alcohol overnight.http://www.windwardorchidsociety.org...Treatments.pdf

Maybe look for a systemic for roses? That should be available in Canada and the UK is some form or other.

someone from your local orchid society might have a stash of physan 20 if you were looking. Thats how I got my bottle.

Safer's End All II is an insecticide. i'd follow the bottle's suggested dilution and spray, like any other orchid. I haven't had any noticable problems with safer's yet by accidentally over concentrating/spraying on orchids. (though in a laboratory with Brassica spp. I managed to stunt plants with this chemical)
