I think some or at least one of your posts are missing. I received email notifications that you had posted but nothing showed up when I went to the thread. Your profile shows you made 4 posts but there are only 3 listed. I think posts got eaten or delayed for some reason a few days ago.

Alexandra, best of luck with this phal. I agree it does look like some sort of cold damage going on with it. Hopefully it will recover for you. Welcome here!

I checked the logs - when your post in a single thread is moderated, any additional posts after that are deleted until your moderated post is shown. It looks like instead of using the multi-reply feature, you tried to create individual replies to the same thread. The system sees this as spam and deletes it. I got an abuse email earlier today but was in the car and could not get online. If a post in one thread goes into moderation, simply wait until it is approved before replying again.

    cheers,

Thank you for the explanation. I find it a bit frustrating that posts got directly deleted even though it said they would show up after being moderated.
I'm not sure I know what the multi-reply feature looks like. However, I'll refrain from replying to posts individually, so please forgive my monster-post.

    Hello, Azizan!
It does look nasty, doesn't it? When I first got it, it looked very good, but I guess it takes a while for the freeze shock to work its way.
I put it on the SE windowsill, where it had some direct sunlight, but I thought that in these wintry weeks it won't be too much, as the sun barely shines. I thought at some point that it could have been also the -27°C/ -20 F from a few nights ago, getting to the Phalaenopsis through the glass pane and blinds, but my mother's old one is exposed to the same temps and doesn't mind at all. Anyway, I moved it to my desk near the window, where it doesn't have as much light, but it's also not directly hit by the sun or frost.

Actually two of the leaves fell on their own right after my first post and two others when I lightly pulled to check how well they are attached. :-S There's one more that's quite pale and sickly looking, and one that seems fine so far.

Thank you, Chris! It's nice to be here.
I am starting to suspect it's been really the exposure to the cold while being brought from the shop. It was inside a plastic foil, but how does that shield from low temperatures? Another mistake might have been also not getting it out of the bag right away, but after a few hours.

    Thank you very much, Traci!

And thank you once again for your kind help, everyone.
By now my plant lost all flowers and one of the roots looks yellowish, while the aerial ones seem dried out. Do you think I should do something about these things? I am trying to research online, but there is such contradictory information out there.

If the aerial ones seem dried out you can lightly mist them but you want to avoid letting water sit on the leaves right now.

Any update on how your phal is doing? It may have had enough strength to put out a new shoot if the roots are still good.

Hello, thank you for your interest!

So far, it seems to be in limbo. Not better, not worse.
I am thinking about getting it out of the pot and inspecting the roots, but I am a bit afraid of shocking it even more. Besides, I've been reading such contradictory stuff about the soil it needs, that I don't know what to buy - small bark pieces, medium ones, perlite, moss...
Also, the spikes are drying out and I am seriously considering cutting them.

You can cut the spikes for sure. The pot is clear so inspect the roots just by looking. In your picture there is one that appears to be brown but the others look okay. The medium you use is not as important as what you do afterward. I've never had to deal with a frozen orchid but there are other folks here who have had to do it in a major way. I'm sure one of them could offer better advice.
