If you are an active member in the community, you will notice a box at the top of every page on the site that has a link to a ballot. This is your chance to vote for the OrchidTalk Member of the Year for 2011. (If you do not see the box, this means you have not participated enough through posting yet or you have dismissed the notice. Feel free to PM me with any questions.)
Each active member of the site will get one vote. After you submit your vote, you can dismiss the notice requesting your vote by clicking the big X on the right side of the page. If you try to vote more than once, you will get an error message. Voting will continue today through December 31, 2011. The Winner of the OrchidTalk Member of the Year for 2011 will be announced on or very soon after Jan. 1, 2012.
If you would like to contribute to or sponsor a prize/award for the winner, please contact me via private message.
Thanks for your help in choosing our OrchidTalk Member of the Year. To review all of the nominated candidates before voting, please visit the Winner's Archive and choose the interview or interviews you would like to review.
Thank you for taking the time to vote and honor our community with its first Member of the Year award recipient!
Hey bruce, cause i have already receieved a MOTM award, does that make me un-eligible for voting MOTY?
Or can i still vote as long as i dont vote for myself lol?
I've given my meaningful vote... Sorry, Kiwi boy, you were my second choice.
Is there a way to see who is leading the race?
There isn't a way to display a portion of the information. Displaying it would display all of the information, including the user id of the voter (because each member gets only one vote). That said, I can simply post the top four contenders so far. It appears to still be anyone's race but the top stats so far are:
zainal abidin 13.16%
All four great choices!
That is cool, Bruce. Keep us update if it is possible.
Hey, Bruce, I/We would like to know who is leading the race now. Thanks.
