    Default Bulbo antenniferum

    This plant blooms on and off all year long except for a couple month winter rest. Love the little antennae on the end of the petals!

    That is so cool. What happens if you touch the antennae? Does the flower close up ? I am guessing it is used to attract the pollinator somehow. Very cool flower in any case.

    bd-no actualy it opens up
    ron-this is lovely ,,,,,,,,my favorite bulb.........
    i post 1 picture from the nature in mount banahaw in philippines growing on a coconut tree(we had to clime on eachouther to get the picture, and the second is in my g\h (same plant)

    I never realized that they open up when the petals are touched...will have to try that. The antenna bobs in the breeze and, I assume, is a visual attractant.

    it must do somthing with the moving pedale build in the flower(the 1 that moves up and down when u tuch it)
