Wow, not only is this Grammatophylum scriptum putting on one hell of a show for you, but you have put this plant 'center stage' in that arbor. Very impressive. AL

The correct name for this species is Grammatophyllum multiflorum fma. citrinum. Usually only known from the Bicol region of southern Luzon. Beautifully flowered plant.

    Thank you.
I meant to correct this as I last night checked it out on the Kew Gardens checklist. I had been using that name since that was the Tag it came with.
I have now corrected that. Interestingly another website is offering that it should be called gramm. multiflorum var. multiflorum !!??
Thanks again for drawing it my attention.

The name is correct, i.e. Gram. scriptum var citrinum. Originally it was called multiflorum f. citrinum, but now it was renamed as scriptum.

    Neoh,

Grammatophyllum scriptum and Gram. multiflorum are two totally different species. The confusion occurs because all the plants that leave the Philippines are Gram. multiflorum labelled as Gram. scriptum.

    Angela,

Grammatophyllum multiflorum var. multiflorum is the form which has brown markings on the floral segments.
