    Default Den. aphyllum Trichoglottis brachiata Rhy. retusa and Enc. cochleata

    Let me thank Naoki 'publicly' for pointing me in the right direction to find some of my wish list plants . From l to r, this is what came home with us;
    Den. aphyllum; Trichoglottis brachiata; Rhy. retusa; Enc. cochleata.
    #1, 3 and 4 have been on my w.l. for quite a while,and couldn't resist trying the little brachiata, which is supposed to have a cinnamon fragrance when in bloom. The cochleata has two spikes starting as well. Thanks again, buddy. It was a very nice day.
    Cheers,
    Tony

    Thank you, Tony and you are very welcome. Nice haul, by the way. The greenhouse is exactly what I saw when I visited last October.
    Aren't those Vandas HUGE?

    Lol! Some of them sure are. (My wife was petrified I was gonna pick one of those huge Vandas.) We were told some of 'em are over 20 years old. When I download some additional pics from the camera, I'll show you what an 800 dollar piece of grape wood looks like!
    Cheers,
    Tony

    As promised, here's a shot of the 800 dollar grape wood mount. I'm told its at least 100 yrs. old (?) Also, a view down Vanda alley, where the colors and fragrances are supurb, and a nice B. nodosa, unfortunately, too early to get a wiff of this one.

    Oh, I miss the Vanda alley. Hopefully, I could go visit in May next year. Thank you for sharing, Tony.

    You're very welcome, Naoki. And again, Thank You for 'introducing' me to Ms. Smiley. What a truly class act! She's awaiting another visit from you, I'm sure. When I had a senior moment, mentioning that you were in CA, she gently corrected me, saying you lived in OR!
    Best,
    Tony
