Native to South America... fan shape plant similar like Cochleanthes very strong fragrances especially early in the morning and towards evening. The blossom last for almost about 10 days maybe flava form.
Lovely coloration. Pity the flower doesn't open up more to really show off its beauty.
“If nature were not beautiful it would not be worth knowing, and life would not be worth living. I am not speaking, of course, of the beauty which strikes the senses, of the beauty of qualities and appearances. I am far from despising this, but it has nothing to do with science. What I mean is that more intimate beauty which comes from the harmonious order of its parts, and which a pure intelligence can grasp.” - Henri Poincare
A very nice one.
Orchids are very eloquent. They tell their master by their appearance , how they are treated.

Very nice orchid flowers. The bloom in the second photo is by far my favorite. I like how open that bloom is in that photo.
cheers,

We could learn a lot from crayons: some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, some have weird names, and all are different colors....but they all exist very nicely in the same box!! OrchidTalk is a world community. Celebrate our Diversity!
Salam En. Zainal. First time seeing this. Really love your South American collection. Thanks for sharing.
Very nice creamy yellow, I love it!

Sounds like a pretty scent...but i'm with the first comment; I'd like it better if that top petal lifted so you could see inside more. Still...it's a pretty one and with a nice scent i'd probably forgive the petal placement. lol

....don't forget to stop and smell the orchids; at least the good smelling ones anyways.
Aha Zain - you really got me there ; I have never heard of Ackermania as a genus ; I could see the probable affinities among the Chondrorynchas etc in the Zygo's, and thought - " I bet those devils have been up to it again changing names" - so I went and looked in IOSPE. Lo and behold they haven't , or rather they have, the new name is I think Benzingia - or maybe that was the old name - and I haven't heard of that either.
I pride myself that I'm not often stumped, but here I am . Clean bowled !
One (can) learn a little something every day. Great !
Love it, Zain
