Well, I've been busy trying to catch up out back. From not being able to work with the orchids I've lost a lot of the Cattleya section. But apparently Vandas, Encyclia and various Brassavola crosses don't seem to care when i'm not spraying. Most of the flowers turned out smaller this year...then there are the mutants that just decided to bloom huge and gorgeous anyways. Orchids...baby them and they die. Give them little to no care, ignore them...while keeping them in too much sun and on a watering timer; they bloom like crazy. *Shrug
Wow,look at the first pic.that vanda was huge.
And lastly...the white dendrobium is mounted on a palm tree outback. When it and the purple bloom together they are gorgeous. This year the white waited awhile before blooming and has three spikes going.
On a ride around the neighborhood I found this lovely piece off a Ponderosa Pine tree. It begged for a couple orchids.
Yesterday I saw this while down checking on the native Encyclia Tampense. I hope you enjoyed the pictures. Another week till the Orchid show so I'm practicing with the cameras every chance I get. :0)
All of them look great Connie. Great job in blooming them and sharing with us.
All stunning Connie-Lot of great blooms there.
I like the first photo that Vanda extremely very huge and beautiful congrats Connie.
Great shots of gorgeous orchids, Connie!!! I particularly like the V Pure Delight, V Joaquim 'Douglas' (very well grown) and that white Eria. Your mount/support in the first and second last pictures are really very novel ideas and I'll try to copy these for some of my vandas . Thanks for the post, Connie.
