Is this one of the orchids that moved with you from Florida? If so, it's really taking to the West! I'm still amazed I can grow orchids in the dryness of Colorado!

Growing in dry Las Vegas, is sometimes challenging. Especially since the winter here can get fairly cold. Down into the 30's - 40's with sometimes a fluctuation back up into the 70's or 80's during the day. So what I had to do was move my entire collection into the covered porch, surround them with 6mil plastic provided with a door via two tarp zippers and a oil filled register type electric heater which had a big metal bowl full of water on top. Set that to 63 deg. During a couple of power outages put candles in to keep the heat up.
During the summer I have a misting system setup that goes off 2 or 3 times a day and when it's worst even 1 or 2 times at night.

Wow - that's a gorgeous flower, such a beautiful colour.

Your set up in Las Vegas now sounds very organised, so I hope it works well for you.
