this is mum's phal, the same orchid that a few years ago grew a keiki (from the spike tho) which i appropriated as my first orchid... if this is in fact a keiki i'm swiping this one too... then in the future, when they're similarly sized i'm gonna run side by side experiments on them... mwa ha ha!

Ok now, what about this one? this is my first dend so i thought that's just what the new growth looks like, but i might as well find out for sure. one pic of each side, and it's on the cane that's flowering right now if that makes any difference.



like i said, i've never had dends before, so if it is a keiki should i bother to remove it when it's all grown or should i just leave it and treat it like it's just another growth?

That's just a new growth, so leave it on
