    Default My unnamed Cymbidium

    I bought this plant 3 years ago at a local nursery in full bloom. In fact it was the second orchid I ever bought. Since then it has not flowered and I was thinking of ditching it as I remember someone telling me to remember that orchids are FLOWERING plants.

    However this year it has made up for the last 3 years and it must have heard it was on shaky ground. Anyway I think I'll keep it for a while and I now will need to split or repot it as there isn't even any space in the pot for stakes.

    When it is finally finished with all of those blooms, just take a big knife or hand-saw and cut that guy into. You will have two large plants in bloom next time! WOW!! That is a beauty. I am so glad you did not ditch it. (hehehe... if you do decide to ditch it, slap my name and address on it and send it to me !) SO beautiful!!

    Beautiful, Rodney, this plant is uber-healthy! All this to say that verbal intimidation can be used succesfully against reluctant bloomers ... Good to know ...

    Lol. Reminds me of the time Diane came to visit us here in Arkansas. LJA divided a couple of cattleyas to share with her. When he broke out the butane torch and the hammer and big knives, you should have seen the look on her face. heheheh... Thanks for sharing the video.
