A big show coming up this week-end- British Orchid Congress, at Writhlington School. One of my Orchid Societies is exhibiting, and asked for my plants I have collected together quite a lot, and found this one, with the flowers just starting to open, to include. I'll do a few pics when I go on Saturday .
This is my perfect cattleya I think, in terms of shape and brilliant colour, and good perfume too. Three super flowers, 12cm natural spread.
The cross has a great deal of C.dowiana in it, more than 50% in fact, and bits of goodness knows how many other species too. R egistered by T.H.Chen in 1997 , so quite recent.
