I would like to announce a major update to the OrchidTalk Radio Stations. Although it looks the same, I have now added in a few hundred TV channels as well as lots more radio stations from all over the planet. I have not tested each and every station yet, but have gone through several.
Different user groups have different levels of interaction with the OrchidTalk Radio and TV Stations page. Brand new members, when logged in, can see and listen to the stations, but until their post count reaches 5 or more, s/he will not be able to rate or report.
Most members can rate, report, and keep a favorite's list (since there are so many stations - this is a must!). Subscribers at the Orchid Level have the ability to add their own stations, delete them, rate the stations, make favorites, and report problems.
If you have not taken a look at the station's page. Do so by clicking on the "Quick Links" - drop-down in the Navbar (near the Log out link). At the bottom of the list out you will see the link to the OrchidTalk Radio & TV Stations page. (see image below)
It will open in a separate window so you can listen while still browsing the forum.--just minimize that window and continue surfing OrchidTalk or the net.
Another way to get to the OrchidTalk Radio & TV Stations page is to visit your profile page. I have added in a block on the right side that will link to a pop-up window.
This pop-up will not have the normal browser's buttons, it is just a pop-up of the page.
Dial-up users - depending on the speed of your connection and the speed of the different stations serving the video and audio streams, you may have a hard time viewing and listening to some stations. Broadband and cable users should see most stations load and stream fairly quickly.
If you find a station that is not working, please report it using the 'Report" link on that page.
Enjoy.
Cheers,
BD![]()
