    Question Epi. schlectea ianum ???

    I can't find any information on this orchid name and am not sure if it's correct but it is whats written on the tag.

    It reminds me of porpax but I am not sure....any thoughts?

    Yes, it is Epidendrum schlechterianum from Panama. Do I win a small division of it I love mini species

    Aha....on the tag the words were separated and that threw me off. Thanks so much Ron...is this particular plant htf? Does it grow easily from cuttings?

    I like the mini species too.

    htf?? not sure what you are asking Shann. It should grow very easily from a cutting.
    Do you have Epi porpax var alba? I bet I can get a small cutting from mine.

    EDIT: htf = hard to find...got you. Not sure, I haven't come across one but have admired pics of it and is on my wish list

    htf ... hard to find

    The vendor told me these were very hardy and they found them to be very hard to kill. Which is fine by me!

    I don't have a porpax alba...I have a terrible time starting things from cuttings because of their watering needs. This was the only smaller plant I purchased...small varieties or young plants I always have a harder time with.
