Psycho Papilio in spike ?

Well it certainly looks like it to me !
1 spike on view & another hiding underneath the leaves.
Looks nothing like when it was growing new leaves/PB,s.
What do you think ?
The spike is just to the right of the upright leaf.
I thought this might be a challenge in s/h but it has grown really quickly.

Looks like it to me also. I have a teeny horny looking thing on mine at the moment. I think it also may be a spike, but not sure. It is pointed upwards. I wish it were a new growth, actually as it is a very small 1 pb division and has been in spike a long time already. I'm always nervous about poking myself in the eye with it.

Same here.

They bloom forever, too. We had one years ago (when they were still called Oncidium papillio) that had developed two spikes as well. That thing produced buds and blooms for 3 years running, if not more. Same spikes, just more buds, developing at the end after the previous flower fell off.

I think we finally gave it away as a gift!

Yes it seems to really like it.It hasn,t grown any new roots & plant can easily be pulled out of the LECA but this doesn,t seem to bother it.Plant is getting about 2500fc in my growroom.I used about 30% charcoal so that the LECA dosen,t wick as good as normal so the top 1 1/2" is pretty dry.If the plant wants more moisture it can send some roots a bit deeper into the LECA.
