    Default Bulbophyllum papulosum

    Four days ago when I was taking photos of this plant I was wondering where the foul odor was coming from. My caretaker suggested that it must be from droppings of monitor lizards in the area. Today I was back and out of curiosity stuck my nose near a bloom. I recoiled in disgust. Have you ever smelled shellfish left to rot in the open for a few days? That came to mind immediately...The flies loved it.

    You would want an arm's length from this pretty bloom.

    Nelson the flowers so pretty, i like it forget it about the bad smells but the blooms so nice.

    Bloom is nice. I don't much care for the stinky ones, but some of their blooms are so beautiful.

    lovely, I am not sure if I have seen one with the spotty lateral sepals before...I like it! What is the fragrance similar to?
