    Default First time deflasking Phal

    First time to deflask Phal seedling!
    I'm not sure what is the breed name but the seller told me that the flower will be large white!
    The medium i used : styrofoam at bottom and NZ Spagnum Moss at the top in take-away food container (+ holes at suroundings)
    bottol wrap with plastic bags and news paper is enough to crack the bottle!

    the cleaning solution i make with warm water and suger plus pinch of groud cinnamon since i don't dare to used any insectisede solutions, scared of poisoning them ! lolz!
    The last picture is the phal after 2 months! i have realize some root growth but not much! the other 2 phal is yellow flower phal!

    I used some coconut husk for other 2 phal container before but i change it because the coconut husk become mouldy!

    They look good ,
    I have heard cinnamon will retard root growth don't know if there is anything to that or not . I use it on leaf damage , insecticide not needed unless they have them . Nice healthy looking seedlings Gin

    They look great!

    Over time they can fall subject to fungus or rot. I'd suggest a periodic spray of a dilute fungicide.
