That is absolutely gorgeous! wonderful colours and striping, thank you for the photos, where is its new home going to be ?
Beautiful orchid, and great photography!!
I'm always a sucker for the dark background when photographing plants and flowers.
wow, nice photo!
A plane ride away; I guess that rules out Blackpool? :-)
(Kidding!!!)
I brought a two-meter wide stretch of black corduroy there to serve as background. However, it has proven cumbersome to use in the "wild"...Many of the plants grow in the tree trunks and branches, and I had resigned in the trade off between ideal growing area vs. ideal photo-op area.
LOL Yes Blackpool is a bit of a hop away but lovely to see this beautiful orchid. I am working on my photo backgrounds its hard but I have some ground cover fabric that I used for the Thunia alba it seemed to work ok this time.
as counterpoint to how far and cumbersome it is to travel to Europe from where I am...
One the way home to Manila I was checking in for my Amsterdam connection in Paris, and the guy behind the counter asked me, how far is Manila from Paris? I told him, "Thirteen hours and fifty minutes, and I saw six movies". He laughed so hard.
