Timing is Everything

I finally got out to the Florida Room today and got that awful floor mopped and clean, in preparation for some new arrivals and because it needed it desperately. Well, a few minutes ago, our afternoon rain storm blew in (yeah, it's finally rainy season here), and when I went to see what was happening, I found this...





So much for my nice clean floor..

You can see where the pot split open upon contact with the floor too. The good news? The roots I can see look nice and healthy, and no sign of rot.

Oh well, these were scheduled to be repotted anyhow, as soon as my s/h stuff arrives.

Now where did I put that mop??

Oh yeah.... obviously, putting plastic down did no good at all. I wasn't expecting my orchids to be able to fly!!

LOL at flying orchids! The poor things and after you went to all that work this morning clearing up. It is such a shame. I am very glad that the orchids appear unharmed though that is the main thing doesnt cost as much to mop the floor as replace an orchid I guess. Just yet more time on the dreaded cleaning chores

Anne, sorry about that, but look at the bright site- the orchids are unharmed and turned to be unique not many orchids can fly...

Didn't need a reminder. Just waiting for the new s/h pots and LECA to arrive. LOL

Oh well, at least I now know for sure they don't need watering for awhile.
