Speculate on this Cattleya cross

I'm getting a couple seedlings from a cross that's too young to have bloomed yet. It's Netrasiri 'Waxy' x Love Knot and I'll put the grower's picture at the end here. It seems like they ought to be pretty striking, however they come out -- maybe Love Knot's sparkly texture with Netrasiri's maroon color? Maybe white throat in a dark red bloom? I kind of suspect that color will dominate but it'd be pretty excellent if it could manage lavender with maroon flaring or something really crazy like that.

What do you think? If you bred these two, what would you be hoping for?

I suspect the lavender one will lead in the color, but that is just a guess. It would be col to see that dark red with the deep purple lip from the lavender one.

Maybe like this, only I am sure nature will do much better than I can with photoshop...

I don't know ! I have one C. porphyroglossa was batalinii a species can find a picture of it using the porphyroglossa name . Crossed with A-OK Ranger Six that is a white hybrid this is what the kid looks like .. http://www.rv-orchidworks.com/orchid...batalinii.html .. Gin

That orange is STUNNING! Wow. If either of my seedlings come out that flashy, I'll be over the moon.

Red with a purple lip would be pretty sweet. Very goth-nightclub.

there will be great variety in the cross I would suspect.
BTW the red cross is Netrasiri Waxy...Waxy is not the clonal name.
