    Default Wonderful news

    First thank you for all your emotional support, prayers,and positive thoughts!

    The MRI was clean...no tumor seen. I lucked out and the radiologist was there, so found out immediately post MRI. Endocrinologist not sure why prolactin is elevated. We are going to rule out a few things more but the heavy weight is lifted off my shoulders and I can breath again. Daughter had stayed stoic through this. When talking with her today, she knew we were ruling out brain tumor. I thought that part had gone over her head.

    We are going to use meds to lower the prolactin and see if that brings her menses back. If it doesn't then we know that is not the cause. There is concern that she has not shed the lining of her uterus in 14 months...don't want any abnormal cells to grow...if lowering prolactin doesn't do it we will do a Provera challenge to bring on a menses and hopefully that will kick start her.

    That is Fantastic news Ron, I can't explain how happy I am for you that really is the best news, I know you have other things that need doing now and that it might be a while before she can return to normal but as you say the biggest fears are now gone. You are right this community really is amazing and I am very lucky to have found it.
