Use of PUMICE Stone

Would like to know who uses PUMICE Stone in/as their potting media (ratio if mixed with others) and results over time, if possible indicating with which type of orchid you use it for (Paphs. Cattleya etc.). Thanks. I heard it is quite beneficial as an additive for orchid potting media.

That's an interesting subject, though I don't have any experience using pumice personally. I hope people who have used it share their experience. I'm only posting here because I happen to read an article on pumices recently while searching for scoria - Compared to scoria which I like to use I believe it is a lighter material that absorbs more water while being as sterile as scoria or perlite. I'm not sure about its availability?

I think it absorb less water than perlite. I never use it in s/h since I'm still new to it. I use it with sphagnum to make it absorb less water in overall medium.
