Anyone try Cattleya Aurantica in S/H?

Has anyone had luck with this in S/H? I have Cattleya Borinquen Beauty yellow and was wanting to try this method on it? It's beens slow going for me.

The only C. aurantiacia orchids that I have are either in empty wood baskets or mounted.
I have tried S/H for them a long time ago and they did not like it.

And yes, the ones I have seem to grow so much slower than any other catts I have in the greenhouse.
