    Default Devil Kitty and B-Day Gift

    Okay...Devil Kitty the Stalker..Aka Sasha Khan..did a bad bad thing. My other half brought me home a Burr. Nelly Isler 'Swiss Beauty' with four spikes last night and while in her favorite spot in the house this morning (pictured), She decided to flail out more than usual, just enough to knock said plant off the growing stand and snapping the most mature spike. Wouldn't you know it was the only one staked...the other spikes are at least a month from blooming...

    Heartbreaking! Looks like a pretty one, too. Sounds like DK is in the doghouse for Thanksgiving! (At least you get two more chances.)

    awww... and Sasha does look particularly evil in that photo!

    still all those other spikes, just in time for Christmas...

    but then, maybe it can be an excuse to get another blooming plant

    Ahhhhh!!! I know your pain, Clint. I'm usually more harmful to my plants than my cats, but I won't forget my friend's cat that consumed my prized Sophronitis roots and all!
