    Post Cattleya Hawaiian Splash 'Lea'

This is a weird clone, there is almost no yellow on the petals. Where there should be yellow, there is white. Colors were very hard to photograph accurately Name: IMG_0222.JPG

I'd have to think it's not Hawaiian Splash 'Lea'. This is one of my favourite Catts.

Of the 3 pictures in OrchidWiz labeled as C. Hawaiian Splash 'Lea' 1 is somewhat similar in color to the first 1 here with creamy white in the lip but has almost no white on the petals and a more cupped form, 1 is much like Roy's with the strong yellow splashes, and the last is similar to Roy's but with smaller paler splashes. Colors and patterns can vary with differences in culture and environment, and Alberta and Victoria are certainly different environments, but this level of variation does make me wonder if other clones or seedlings have been incorrectly tagged 'Lea'. These are both lovely though.
