Cattleya Intermedia NoID (New growth??)

Is this a new growth on my cattleya??, i noticed them a couple of weeks ago and they are getting bigger, I have counted at least 9 of this things growing out of the pbulb.

Looks like you're going to have two new leads. The dormant eyes farther back may swell but not produce. If you want them to grow and give you a fuller plant try cutting the rhizome. I learned this from one of our better growers in my orchid society. Count back 3 or 4 pseudobulbs and make the cut. The eyes at the cut end should start to grow as well. You're basically dividing the plant without separating into other pots and will give you a nice specimen plant. Nice hybrid too by the way.

i might try that, right now almost all of the pbulbs are swelling up and havin 1 or 2 growth, i just counted them and there is 14 new growth coming out just like the one in the picture

Those are indeed new leads growing. Each cattleya pseudobulb has 2 to 3 "eyes". The primary one where the next season's growths will emerge, and two back ups just in case something happens to the primary.

Jeffrey is right in that back cutting a cattleya rhizome while in the pot will trigger a growth response from the backbulbs because it senses that something happened to the active lead.
However, do bear in mind that if you do this, you will end up with two plants competing for the same resources within the same pot. The roots and leaves will be competing with each other as opposed to helping the whole plant grow.
Also, most orchid judging rules would disqualify the plant because it is now technically multiple plants in one pot.
It also could not be legally classified as a specimen for marketing purposes.

Thanks for the info john, I think i will let this catt. become a specimen since it grows so fast. When it flowered, it only took about a week or 2 for the buds to come out and open up all the way.
