Ooh, ooh - I like that! And I love the Lady Macbeth name!
The trade used to call these "vinnies" - meaning, like red wine. When they first appeared, they were asking four or five times the price of "ornery" hybrids. . The dark red colour in this kind of hybrid comes from either of just two parents - P. callosum 'Jac' is one, and the other currently escapes me. Another line of breeding takes any Maudiae type ( callosum x lawrenceae) with black "warts" and breeds for more warts - as here. It's a matter of taste I guess whether you like this line of breeding, or hate it.

Strong and bold coloured bloom, its beauty lying within its vulnerabilty. Gorgeous
Love the dark color!
Great dark slipper orchid. These paphs are so much fun as they bloom regularly and last and last.
cheers,
