Cheers,
I've this one for quite a while now... its always in bud too bad i've never really
had the chance to see the flowers as i've never seen it open... im starting to
think that the flowers on this one doesnt really open or that the flowers dont
last very long to be noticed. Anyways this morning while doing my morning
walk i've finally seen it open and i was very excited so i immediately grabbed
for the camera to take a photo of it.
It seems that I am correct in my assumption that the bloom doesn't last long
as a few hours after i snapped the photo the flower is starting to close. Also
its quite fragrant but more of the stinky side.... if I have to describe it, it smells
like old socks.
I hope somebody here could ID the plant.

Orchid Species Photographs by Eric Hunt
Hi Randy,
Your plant is Epicranthes glebodactyla, recently named by Wally Suarez and myself.
Jim Cootes
congrats randy and thanks jim!
randy, keep it moist and as cold as you can, also not a lowland species..sorry.
Thanks for the ID Jim, really appreciate it, btw as a followup -- may i ask where in the
country can this be found?
Thanks Ron for the culture tip, well I dont have the highland condition it requires but it
seems to have liked it here, it even survived the hot summer. I keep it shaded and
humid and very moist... actually i was worried with the media its in..pure sphagnum, but
I decided not to repot until i see something that may show signs of problems and it
didnt gave me any.
Thanks a lot for viewing guys, I just got lucky with finding this.
