    Default Acanthephippium mantiinianum

    this species is endemic to Philippines. Last year snails have killed the buds, so this year I've paid more attention to them and enjoy a beautiful flowers.
    Jim Cootes, write in his book: This species has an interesting future, the inflorescence elongates after pollination to ensure wider dispersal of the seeds.

    Cool! I have not seen this orchid bloom before. What does the plant look like? The bloom is so strange and pretty.

    BD, the plant self, looks like an Phaius spec.
