The lizard is cool looking...the snake however I'd have been carrying on like a girl and running for the house.
wow, fantastic snake shots!!! looks like you got pretty close to it, no messing around with a viper!
you got so close to that snake. WOW. Great shots.
cheers,

Beautiful shots, Branka. You really are a brave girl to get so close to the viper.
Branka,
taken in your garden?
P.
Well, the story goes like that….my two colleagues, who are a big fan of snakes and reptiles, and horses and….are buying a new macro lens. I mentioned them a rings and a ring flash too, but as they do not know what I am talking about, we agreed to test my equipment together. I already have thought we'd shoting some small plants we’d find there.
This Sunday we went to a plateau of our karst and found lying two beautiful snakes on the ground - they were sunbathing.
We already have prepared previously for macro shots with the macro lens on - 50 mm, and I gave them already one ring on their 18-55 lens. As we saw the snakes, we did not change lenses and took of the ring, but we’ve just started with shotings. Yes, I was pretty close to snake, they said even a little too close, but I didn’t notice that, because when doing shots in macro mode, you do not see much backgrounding…It all ended happily, the sun was no longer strong and the snake appeared to be a bit slower….But it is true that we had to wipe the droplets of the lens once ….while the snake has bitten the lens
This is the way how we did the shots:
That's the type of psycho stunt I might have done LOL
oh wow, i know how it is, you get easily carried away, but after seeing this i would say, its too close!
vipers can be very aggressive and strike without a warning, unlike cobras.
really brave branka, cool girl!
