I got a cutting of this beautiful flower last year at our Garden tour. I planted the rooted cutting and to my surprise got a bloom almost a year later. The Bloom is about 6" tall and 3" wide.

Wow...very pretty!
That is cool! How does the vine grow? Is it winter tough?
Cheers,

Sorry BD it is a tropical vine that needs support, Southern Living Garden book says that it grows rampant and is sprawling but mine have been much more timid, we will see in their second year.
It is a pretty cool thing to do, We just put 10 bare roots on the live oak yesterday, now if the squirrels will just leave them alone........
The little B&%$#@^s eat the new growth on the orchids.
