hi folks,
my most floriferous cirrho species, the 7th spike in a couple of months or so.
cheers,
Great species and pretty too.
wow!
What a lovely great hairy monster - like something out of a wonderful children's book. We ought to be able to give it a good name, , like -( just off the cuff) - the ginger marmalade stone-age man cirrho ? I love it ... I'll have to try and delve a bit further and find out what it is - it certainly is my kind of orchid.
( I have been experimenting in the site, clicking on this and that, to find out what they do- it occurred to me that those little pics at top left are nice, but go past too fast (sometimes) to really see them - especially if i'm in slow mode ... I'm in slow mode tonight, I have a stinking cold, feel really sorry for myself, and finished off that bottle of Semillon blanc or whatever which my wife said should last for tomorrow... good job I am not driving anywhere until at least tomorrow...
That is pretty nice, Ron.
Nicely shot Ron.... whats the new camera? and whats your culture for this? I think im keeping mine too wet.
lol., "the ginger marmalade cirrho.."!
thanks guys!
@randy,
i have the fuji hs10 and use a raynox 250 super macro lens for occasions like you see above. it works pretty well and im seeing stuff, which i havent before!
my cirrho is mounted on a piece of coconut husk, a lil moss on the sides, and i water it every day. it gets full morning sun until 11am or so, i noticed that cirrho's need more sun than their bulbo cousins.
Like those close-ups!
Great close up!! Beautiful orchid bloom.
Cheers,
