Red face Lemon Tree and Phal

I know this will not impress the tropical members of the forum, but I am pretty excited living here in Arkansas and being able to grow lemons in my window.

My lemon tree produced two large lemons this year and is in bloom and has a few small green lemons on it now too. I am just about ready to pick the lemons. Last year, it made lemons as well, but I was growing it in the greenhouse and did not think it would be safe to eat the lemons since they might have systemic insecticide in them. So, this year, I moved the tree out side during the nice weather and then into my bedroom window. Anyway, here are the photos...

And, since the third photo caught a phal that I was growing in the window also, I thought I would post a photo of its blooms. I am afraid it will die soon as the leaves are really cold damaged. The phal was a gift from a graduating student in December. It got too cold, but the buds never fell off and it is currently blooming on two spikes. Noid of course...

Your lemons look great Bruce. I have had some for a few years and usually overwintered them in the warm greenhouse. Knowing I would need the space for the new orchid venture, I moved the lemons to the cold greenhouse on advice that they would go dormant but be OK. We just had the coldest December since records began over 100 years ago and they have gone very dormant, spelled D.E.A.D. I'm an inveterate optimist so am hanging on to them to see if they will kick back in this year, after all they are not actually rotting (yet). I'd post a picture but am too embarassed.
