How do I differentiate Vanda & Ascocenda by looking at the plant? Do I water and feed them the same?

How do I differentiate Vanda & Ascocenda by looking at the plant? Do I water and feed them the same?

Used to be quite easy to differentiate between them especially the first generation ones as the ascos were smaller plants, but not any more.So many generations later the plants and even the flowers look so much alike.Luckily both both can be treated the same - culture-wise.In our tropical climate the strap leaf types need more shade, 50%, and the semi teretes can be exposed to more sun.

I agree with Yew. I have some Ascdas bigger than some Vandas, plant & flowers. The earlier Ascda hybrids will grow a little cooler than the Vanda.
