    For the religiously inclined towards Christianity, I read in the IOSPE webpage this is also called the Blessed Virgin Mary orchid because at some angle you could see the figure of the Madonna.

    Oh wow...yes you can see Mary. The yellow is her head/halo. Very lovely flower and I love the story that goes with it. Do they like warm, humid weather?

    I have absolutely no idea on how this grows. I heard from one of my friend that it grows pretty well here and here means hot and humid.
