I have had these 2 Phalaenopsis orchids since May last year. Flowered beautifully for me. Then in our summer here Dec. 2010, they started losing leaves and the roots were mushy and black. I thought they were going to die. After much help from other forum members and gleaning from reading techniques on Spag-n-Bag, I gave it a go. Dec. - Feb. this year, they were hibernating in the bag, and in March settled in pots and look now. The healthiest roots and leaves like never before. Just goes to show, orchids are very hardy. AND don't overwater. I think this is what I did previously. Best thing in my opinion, is to underwater, and halve the fertilizing thingie.
